The Schuckert family from Ketzelsdorf has been the driving force behind the Kellerstöckl estate for many generations. The winery, run by Horst Schuckert, is known for its uncompromisingly typical wines with the fruit-driven style of Veltliner country. “We concentrate on our strengths and not on the trends. The Poysdorf region produces outstanding quality and so we do not have to reinvent our wines”. Peppery Veltliner, spicy Welschriesling, elegant Muskateller as well as fruity Zweigelt and Blauburger are the main varieties grown on the 25 ha of deep-seated loess and gravel soils. The whole family works to ensure the vines are completely healthy and sound, as only so can top quality be harvested. As a result our fruity, easy to enjoy wines have won many awards.
