Wine estate Lorenz und Karin Strobl
Lorenz and Karin Strobl have been managing the family business with its approximately 12 ha planted to vines from their own nursery since 2002.
The Pannonian influenced climate, sunny hillsides and loam and loess soils give optimum conditions for the production of outstanding wines with regional typicité. Careful canopy management and quality-orientated pruning also play a part because quality starts first of all in the vineyards.
The grapes are carefully vinified in the winery which was newly constructed in 2003. The white wines are fermented under temperature controlled conditions and are fresh and fruity in style with a balanced structure between sweetness and acidity.
The red wines are fermented on their skins under temperature controlled conditions and then undergo malolactic fermentation.
Lorenz Strobl’s wines reflect the passion and love he has for his job – he is a winemaker by choice and not by chance.
